Golf 101

Monica Franklin, pro at The Preserve at Verdae, hosted this presentation with dinner. From the tee-box to the putting green, Monica demonstrated equipment, etiquette, and tips for beginners to keep pace of play. Monica is a dynamic speaker and teacher. It's no wonder the class was full with 20 gals. Thank you for take home booklet chock full of tips, rules, linqo and golf basics. Great job Monica, we loved the class!

Officer Elections for 2012

In August we held Officer Elections for 2012. We have openings remaining in the following roles and encourage you and a friend to take on a role together - it's more fun and 2 heads are better than one. Coordinate 9hole League Play, 18hole Outings, Spring Kickoff Event, Happy Hour Meetings, Membership, Clinics, and Treasurer. These roles are a great way to network and gain skills such as Marketing, Leadership, Computer, Event Planning; plus it looks good on a resume.

We'll be taking volunteers first come first serve at the Year End Party Dec 1st. Email your interests to me, Peggy, at jpeg@charter.net.

2011 at a Glance

2011 was a memorable year. We had the Spring Kickoff in March at Stax Grille with 30 attendees. April league play began at Bonnie Brae then continued at Hejaz and Verdae. We had about 4-8 ladies playing this 9hole event each week.
18hole golf was a huge success with play at Village Greens, Cherokee Valley, and Green Valley, Willow Creek, and River Falls courses.
Our year end party is schedules for Dec 1st. Mark your calendar now and don't miss it.
